will these +24s fit my 68?

Post by mattywood »

Hi I have found a set of 15x6 Superlites +24 offset with 205/50/r15 Tyres. Will these fit my roadster? If not what would I need to do to get them to fit?

a spacer up front would help clear the calipers then you are good to go!

Thanks Alvin. Where do you buy spacers and and the wheels will clear the back ok? Can you see any downfalls?

If you want to buy something fancy online then just google:
4x114.3 spacers

Otherwise, your local autoparts store should carry generic wheel spacers.
You want 4x114.3 bolt pattern

You should be fine in back, if you add a 10mm spacer then that makes your wheel +14, which is great fitment in back.

Things to be careful of:
-adding too large of a spacer = less engagement for lugnuts. You might need longer studs

Don't you have to roll the rear fenders in order to fit 205s? or is this only if your axle is not centered?
Thanks

If you can get your fenders rolled at a reasonable price, I'd say do it, never hurts to have a little extra spacing when your doing a custom setup

Reasonable price? Go to a used sporting goods store or thrift store and buy an aluminum baseball bat and have a good time with it!

haha, I've done the baseball bat method. I like the machine with urethane wheels a lot better, IF you care about your paint.

heat the paint with a heat gun on low. It will soften up the paint enough so it won't crack when rolling it with a bat.

If you are rolling fenders, go on youtube... Lots of how to and how not to... I agree with Garm... Find someone local with the Eastwood Fender Roller. Save yourself some heartache. The heat gun is a good idea but still need to be careful. Can easily crack filler too if you don't take it slow... Baseball bat requires patience, and the right number of friends in the trunk to get the right touch...
