You'll need a boss/hub for an aftermarket steering wheel.
Seems like most people are using the Grant hub #4581( http://tinyurl.com/5c4uu7 ).
You'll need another adapter to the Grant hub if you're using a Momo/Nardi wheel or any steering wheel that has a 6 bolt pattern.
I've heard Momo kits for 510/240z work. No personal experience. I did contact this seller( http://tinyurl.com/562b3t )
asking if Momo kit #3503 would work with a Datsun Roadster and he said it would.
I've purchased this kit( http://tinyurl.com/6gtxqb ) and the hub does fit on the steering shaft spines.
My Roadster isn't running so I can't give any real comment of how well it works.
The construction of the hub itself is similar to a Momo hub but the cover is cheap.
It's a plastic type material, not like the rubber type matterial Momo uses.
But it does have the dual 6 bolt pattern so you can fit a Momo/Nardi wheel to it with no problem.
Hope that helps.

Re: boss kits
Would this be the type of adapter needed for a Momo wheel on a late car:

Re: boss kits
It would be if you already have a Grant adapter on the car. Would be 3 pieces total. Grant adapter, column cover, grant to Momo. this is what I have, but with a Luisa wheel.Linda wrote:Would this be the type of adapter needed for a Momo wheel on a late car:

A one piece looks like this, splined hole for the steering column out to the steering wheel in one piece. My Momo adapter lookslike this, very solid.
I would be wary of any made offshore, or very inexpensive ones. The Datsun horn button is the hard part to get. Early and late columns are a bit different.

Re: boss kits
Thank you for the info Dave. I wondered about the Grant to Momo option as opposed to the MOMO adapter, which I gather is the 240 Z #3503 not the Roadster #3500. It appears that both put the wheel in about the same position? I would prefer stock location, not closer. I'm going to try to see one of these kits installed up close before I buy to be sure it looks OK to me.
It will be nice to get a new wheel. I'll post pics of the final look.

Re: boss kits
Here'as another kit I found. It works on the 240 SX and that is the same care the #3503 kit also works on too.....so maybe this would work too. :
