Re: My 67.5 SPL/SR20
Finished installing these Lotus Elise seats in my roadster before heading to Solvang tomorrow. What do you think?

Re: My 67.5 SPL/SR20
I think you'll have more room if you take the old seats out first
Didn't Eric Straw have Elise seats in his white car?
They look like they've give a bit more room.
Did you find a way to mount them to the roadster sliders?

I love those seats, looks like they give good support for spirited driving - especially for the passenger.

Sorry guys I was just playing around. The Lotus Elise seats belong to Eric Straw. I delivered the seats to Eric at Solvang
Spriso lending a hand:
The seats do fit (with some mods) and similar set could be seen on Eric's '69 SRL at the show:

Good morning Alvin. So I got on my pad this morning and glanced at the stories that some algorithm has decided would be of interest to me, and there was one from Speed Hunters featuring your car... very cool, Congrats! Now, go give him that canyon drive he wanted!

Hey Greg,
I was surprised to see this as well, as I was not contacted or informed about it beforehand
I do like the photos (shot on film), but the author clearly googled previous articles for the text. Strangest part is that he repeatedly goes on how he's never seen it driving. So yeah, it leaves an odd feeling with me.
Maybe you guys chime in on the comments section

Looks like a lot more fun than just parking a bunch of cars on a street.

Alvin,
Great seat choice as I have the same brand new pair for my project. I ended up getting factory Lotus seat rails also to make things more simple.

Re: My 67.5 SPL/SR20
After 17 years, the Optima battery in my roadster finally died.
It happened to me at the best possible place and time: Leaving DWA Cars & Coffee
Turned the ignition and the gauges worked but no crank. Thankfully I was carrying (2!) jump packs and I was able to jump start.
Last weekend I visited the shop to get a new battery.
Just a simple 51R, same size ( a bit lighter than the Optima). Braille battery coming once we re-locate.

Which Braille are you going with and why? I'm trying to decide on my trunk mounted battery and looking at options. Appreciate your rationale.
