Oil filter element
Looks like Nissan is discontinuing the oil filter element for the old style oil cannisters. The Nissan part number is 15208-32225. I tried a company that had a filter for a forklift that supposedly was a replacement for that part number but it was about 5mm too long compared to Nissan part. I have 4 Nissan filters left for my old Datsun Racing oil filter/cooler set up. Yes, I could try to convert it to spin on. Would be nice to keep as is if decent replacement elements available.

Re: Oil filter element
There is an equivalent filter in the RYCO range, the R2154P.

The two "O" rings are included.

I recently bought 4 NOS from an eBay vendor since they were 1/2 price but the current new cost is not too bad.
RYCO are an excellent brand, I can recommend their filters.
The Nissan Patrol uses this same filter as do some other Nissan Cars/Commercials I believe, so I'm a little surprised Nissan plans to discontinue it

Re: Oil filter element
Looks like this is available in Australia. On eBay I got a $77 shipping charge estimate to the US:). Looks like a nice match to the Nissan filter. The one replacement part I found herelooked less well made.
At least on the Nissan US parts site I looked at it said discontinued.
Australia seems to be developing as a good area for vintage parts. I have seen parts for both Datsun and Austin Healey Sprites that seemed interesting.

Would a Wix 51302 filter work?
Their site seems to have it listed for the nissan oem part number 15208-32225.
Height: 5.496 (140)*
Outer Diameter: 2.718 (69)*
Inside Diameter: 1.315 (33)*
