I am nearing having the body painted on my 68 SPL311. I have a decision to make. I stripped the front of my hood which had body filler plugging the holes for the letters. I removed the filler with plans to acquire letters and make it like it should be. However, I am having difficulty finding any with the pins still intact. I have to do some metal work along the front lip due to rust from the brace seam (just below the holes). My decision is, since I will be making weld repairs anyway, should I fill the holes and use stick-on letters, or keep the proper holes hoping I may find some letters. Are there letters out there, or someone going to have them reproduced in the near future?

Re: Hood Emblems NLA?
Will have to wait for them to come back in stock. People have reproduced them before.

Re: Hood Emblems NLA?
These would be prime candidates for 3D printing.
Welding back on the mounting pins is not easy, as these are pot metal so do not take well to welding.
I think finding a good picture and having someone "pinstripe" paint them on there would be an option, more lasting and maintain-able.

Re: Hood Emblems NLA?
No need to wait We have all the late model emblems in stock.
Pristine metal emblems: D_A_T_S_U_N, 1600, 2000
Also new 65-67 Hood emblems. (They are not the same)
Ever wonder why some hood letter sets look wonky/off angle? Nissan superseded the original metal letters to the later style plastic letters, but several letters are different and wind up tilted if you mix up the years/hoods.
PM, Email, call, we have them all.
