Door handles/latches window crank position with the window crankedopen?

Post by 111jag »

I haven't been able to find a post on this and it might be a minor but I think important point but would this be the correct stock position for the window and door pull handles/latches and window crank position with the window open and for a 67 Datsun? Putting the finishing touches on my rebuild. That is, door latch horizontal, window crank with window open, vertical up, and door pull handle in the up position?

I have no idea what stock is, but I put my window cranks on so that they wouldn’t be against my leg in either up or down position.

Yep, agreed. I set my handles so they are in the best position for my leg with the window down. I don’t care where it is with the window up because they are hardly ever up and almost never when driving.

I thought the handle was supposed to be pointed toward upper corner. Then you pull toward you to open the door. At least I think it works better.
