Miscellaneous Nut & Bolt Sizes

[Florida Roadster]

I have been sourcing and replacing the hardware on my particular car, a 1967.5, and here is some of the information. I have found that most of the frame sizes are Metric and most of the body sizes are SAE. I don't know if all years were similar but it is a starting point.


Frame to Body Bolts
(8) M10 - 1.0 (32mm L)
(6) M12 - 1.50 (35mm L)
(6) M13 - 1.50 (35mm L)
Need large flat washers

Control Arm to Upper Frame
(4) M12 - 1.50 ( 40mm L but 30mm Threaded)
Need star washers

Rear Shackle Mounting Bolts
(8) M10 - 1.0 (28mm L)

Nylon Locking Nuts for U-Links Rear Axle
(8) M10 - 1.0

Steering Rack Bolts
(6) M10 - 1.0 (38mm L but only 25-26mm Threaded)
Need nylon lock nuts and star washers

Brake Pistons Mounting Bolts
(16) ¼” - 28 (22mm or .866” L but only 12mm or .472” Threaded)
Need star washers

Lower Control Arm Bolts
(8) M10 - 1.0 (33mm L but only 16mm Threaded)
Need nuts and washers

Upper/Outer Control Arm and Ball Joint Bolts
(8) M8 - 1.0 (16mm L)

Lower Control Arm to Ball Joint
(8) M8 - 1.0 (50mm L but only 24mm Threaded)
Need nylon lock nuts and washers

Bumper Bolts Rear and same for Front???
(8) M10 - 1.0 (25mm L)

Front Hub to Rotor
(8) M12 - 1.25 (32mm L but only 20mm Threaded)

Shifter Lock Nuts
(2) M10 x 1.25

(6)Castle Nuts 7/16” - 20

Rear Shackles - Pins Nuts
(6) 7/16” - 20

Miscellaneous Body Bolts

M10 - 1.0 x 25mm L

¼” - 28 x .60” L (Round Head Screw)
¼” - 28 x .60” L (Hex Head Bolt)

¼” - 28 x .30” L (Round Head Screw)


(4) U-Joint to Pinion Bolts
M8 - 1.0 x 25mm L (with nuts & Lock Washers)

Door Hinges
¼” - 28 X 18mm L (Hex Head)

(4) Heater Box Mount
¼” - 28 x 15mm L

(4) Wiper Motor Bolts
¼” - 28 x 1.20” L (Partial Thread)

Tail Light Housing Nuts
M6 - 1.0

Front Fender Bolts
¼” - 20 x ¾” L (Round head screws, with oversized flat washers, nuts, and lock washers)

Windshield Frame Bolts
5/16” - 24 x 1.15” L (Partial Thread, with oversize flat washers and nuts)

(4) Trunk Lid Bolts
5/16” - 24 x .60” L (with washer and lock washer)
Rear View Mirror Screws
10-32 x .60” L (tapered top, round head screw)

(2) Horn Mounting Bolts
5/16 - 24 x .75” L

Dashboard Top Mounting Bolts
¼” - 28 x .50” L (with washers and lock washers)

Vent Window Mounting Bolts
¼” - 28 x .75” L (with flat washers and lock washers, NOTE: use multiple washers as SHIMS if needed to TILT the top of vent window in or out to line up correctly with the windshield)

Seat Slider Nuts
M8 - 1.0

Steering Shaft to Firewall Mounting Bolts
¼” - 28 x .50” L (with oversized, double-thickness washers)
