Re: Rick's 1965 Nissan Silvia
Thanks Alvin, my friend sent me the zcarblog. Nice, just needs some things done to bring closer to being stock, like clock, indcator stalk.
Standard, the dif is a 4.11, so that's why its high rev at a cruise. 3.9 was optional.
It does inspire me to crack on with mine, but I have so much to do, and I am slowly getting through the jobs.

I do feel lucky. I was around to get mine just at the right time, before the internet/social media upped the Silvia profile (and the price!)

Re: Rick's 1965 Nissan Silvia
Its puzzled me a little, and a while, the stance on the rear didn't look right, would dropping the rear springs an inch solve it...?
No, the rear wheel arch shape is all wrong, making the rear look higher. It should look like this (and the view from the rear in the post above shows work);

Good eyes. Even the front arch openings were modified at some point in its life!CSP311 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 9:08 am Its puzzled me a little, and a while, the stance on the rear didn't look right, would dropping the rear springs an inch solve it...?

Honestly, I prefer the modified over the factory...

I really like the original flares, here's a photo I took along time ago:
The squared-off arches are neat

Re: Rick's 1965 Nissan Silvia
My impression does vary with the angle of the view... dead side on I prefer the modified, but from this angle shown above the squared off look is really good. Regardless, I really like these cars and would love to have one (especially with a U20/5speed or a Robello R-beastie), but realize they are exceptionally rare.
