For the people who have performed swaps

Post by BAMUZ »

What did you do for your tachs?
I would like to keep my tachs/gauges that are in the roadster and have them work with the vg30 system going in

I looked online and found some analog to digital converter boxes but they aren’t for Datsun/Nissan … only domestic.

So my question is to anyone who did a swap and kept your original tach cluster, how did you make it work?

If I didn’t search well enough and someone is able to link a thread it would be GREATLY appreciated!

Jon Frampton does the most with our instruments, if anyone knows how to do it, he does.

One of our forum members Spyder has posted a conversion that he did some years ago. He gutted the factory tach and adapted a aftermarket one. He posted a condensed tutorial somewhere. I did the same with a 7K tach but didn’t take any pics. Hopefully he can help!
