Nylon grommet for brake/clutch pedal return spring

Hi everyone,

So what are you using to replace that half-circle nylon grommet that Nissan used under the dash to attach the one end of the brake/clutch return spring to the body? A similar size rubber grommet cut in half would work, but I'm not sure how long it would last.

Mine have both cracked and are in pieces. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mike

Good question. I selected the best two from my 4 for my car but would love to find someone who has had some reproduced. Could they be 3D printed?

Peace, Pat

Mike,

That's perfect. Thanks for pointing that out! And thanks to Curtis for the idea. My local Ace Hardware has various nylon spacers, so I should be good to go.

For anyone looking for the original Nissan return springs, I found these on ebay and ordered a set:

The part number is for early cars, but they look like they should work on all years. I'll let you know how they compare to my one good, original spring....

Of course, it can be printed. Find someone who can do it. Or you can buy a printer, choose carefully, read the article https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/10-best- ... nson-x5zce I think it can be useful for you
