Congratulations, the car looks Great! I suspect your temp sender wire is grounding or the sender is bad. If you ground the wire it will peg hot. The fuel sender in the tank is probably worn... mine is not terribly accurate and why I use the odometer to calculate when I'm getting closer to empty, based on an average of 25mpg... at 250 miles I figure I have a gallon or two left and start seeking fuel.

Congrats on both a great build and resurrection, and for choosing the right partner. Not many have the benefit of a wife with such interest and diagnostic skills. Cheers to the both of you for supporting the cause. :smt023

If you hook up GVR wires backwards you will likely burn it out.

Before and after photos.
66 stroker, almost done.

GVR wires? My guess is that my error is at the back of the multi Guage where I reversed the fuel and temp sender wires.

Is that what you are referring to, Curtis?

No, the GVR itself. They don't like to be hooked up backwards.

Yes, I did vynil wrap on the door sills, shifter plate, and the silver parts of the center console.

Sadly didn't make it to Solvang, just had too much going on with the cross country move. Finally getting settled and did manage to get a ride in on the "tail of the dragon "
