So I got me a 1967.5 Datsun 1600 that has been in a barn(seriously) since 1999.
I am looking for info to get her fixed up, and back on the road.
Thanks,
Mike

Welcome! There is a lot of info available here. I’m just finishing up a frame off on my 67.5 1600 in Texas & hope to be out in California for some get togethers later this year.

Peace,
Pat

Welcome to the family Mike. We're a tight nit group that's happy to help guide you in your efforts. These are relatively easy cars to work on with only a few quirks, with great vendor support and honest dealing members. We're not uptight and welcome every expression of the Datsun Roadster, from stock to highly modified, as you will see if you attend a show or two as suggested (great friendly family affairs). Don't be afraid to ask ANY question regardless of your mechanical aptitude (or lack of) , make use of the great Wiki we have that describes and guides part exchanges, popular mods, solutions to problems and step by step "how to's", and search the forum for interesting topics. We all enjoy hearing "the back stories" about how you became interested in Datsuns or any other cars you have owned and loved, because we LOVE our cars and many have had them for decades because there's just something about a Roadster! Most of all, know that you are welcome here and we want you to HAVE FUN!

I am in Central Cali(Fresno area) I actually have "been" to the Solvang show about 10 years ago by accident. I was there for a knife show put on by a local store(Nordic Knives) and was like " holy hell'! where did all these Datsuns come from?LOL Do you know the dates for the April event?

Bob, you're in Atascadero? That'll be my overnight stopping point on the way to/from Solvang this year. I'll be staying with a friend, who is also the previous owner of my roadster. She hasn't seen the car in person since 1995 when she sold it to me. We're going to fix that and have her take her son for a ride in mom's old car. From your sig it sounds like you have quite a collection of badass Fords.
