What is this wheel configuration?

Post by Labubre »

Hi

Pretty much interested by the look of this 2000 with flares.

Do you feel like it is mandatory to cut flares to get this configuration? I would feel reluctant to do so.
Any idea whhat these 15" wheels and how wide and offset could be?
I saw 205/50R15 for rear tires, but cannot read for from...195?

Without cutting flares + stock suspension, what would be the "best" reco to reach that look?
Anybody running with flares without metal cut?

Thanks
Seb

205/60R14 rears, no flares, no spacers, on Shelby 14x7 rims, backspacing 4.5”, offset 18mm (~0.75”)

I always did like the way that rim/tire combo filled the arches. Looks sharp Bob.

Hi Seb,
Your post is clear to me...you want bolt-on fender flares.

It is not mandatory to cut the body metal to mount aftermarket flares like in your photos...it depends on your wheel/tire choice.
Without trimming the rear metal you will be limited in wheel/tire width and adding a bolt-on flare would result in an odd look. Especially at stock ride height. In short: it would not look good without lowering or trimming metal to fit larger wheel/tires

Contact the following owners they can give you tips on how to mount the aftermarket flares, and if they cut the metal to mount.

ps..after taking a closer look at your pictures I think the car shown has either blended in metal flares (with contrasting color) and/or re-shaped rear flares!
