What is the function of this bracket? I assume it has something to do with the convertible top. What attaches to it? Photos would be greatly appreciated. :D
As always, thanks for your help.

Top cable ends in a flange which slides into and mates with that bracket.

ImageThere is a cable that runs from the top bow to clips that slide into them to keep the window arch pressed to the glass. I’d assume 90% of the Roadsters around today have removed them.

Jim they look like this: https://datsunparts.com/collections/sof ... 9271264440

They attach to the spring that enters and passes through the soft top material. The spring cable attaches to the front bow. This set up keeps the material tight to the window glass. You can see the parts in the attachment. You probably have them in a box somewhere.
