Greetings all, Saturday June 25th is the 30th anniversary of the Greenwood Car Show in Seattle. I've been a few times in the past but have never had the car in the show (I don't think of the Roadster as a "show car"), but this year was convinced to register the car, so we're in. Having never shown the car, and knowing a few other Roadsters will be going, thought I'd put out an inquiry as to meeting up beforehand as the show starts at 8am and we're coming up from Tacoma. Hope to see some 311s family there and put faces to names and catch up with others... it's been a while. Looking forward to it, and maybe some decent weather will finally bless Us!

Greg- have you talked to Ted or Don at the Northwest Datsun Enthusiasts club about entering and showing with us?

Greetings all! We had a great time at the Greenwood car show and I wanted to thank all the Datsun people that were there and who helped out getting us settled! The crowd was great, and there were many Datsun lovers amongst them. What fun it was hearing people's memories about these cars. They were often about their first time driving as a teenager and getting into trouble, or working on cars with a family member, or as one person told me it was the "first car I ever went 100 miles per hour in!" So many stories and great memories, and such a great way to come together and share them.
I posted a pic of the Datsun there, and my favorite non-Datsun. The VW was just sooo nice. Although they were many many beautiful cars, at the end of the day the only one I really wanted to go home with was my Datsun. I guess that's love!
BTW, if the pictures are upside down I tried them both ways but they always ended up wrong!

Yep. Pictures upside down.
It was great to meet you and your wife at the show. You have a great car.
That VW club straight across from us had some cool cars, like the one you posted here.
We had 18 datsuns (including one Nissan 370). Roadsters, a couple Z cars, a 320NL, a 620, a 510. We had an entire block of datsuns for this show.
It was very hot, but we had reserved one of the blocks with full big tree shade, which was nice.
Turns out we took very little good pics.

Was great meeting you too David! And seeing Dave Firestone, Pat, Pete Dills, and other members I'm not as confident on names (I'm terrible at remembering names! Name tags are always my friend at events like this.) Yep, can't get the pics right side up... Darn! That creamsickle colored bug was just beautiful. Thanks David for getting me with the group!
