Can the expansion tank be powder coated?

Can the expansion tank be powder coated or are there any soldered joints that will melt? Don't want to make the same mistake I did with the gas tank. :roll:

Been there, done that. The solder melts.

I sanded mine down then covered it with POR15.

Seriously, how hard was it to sand down? Better/easier to sandblast?

I don't know about sand blasting. I actually used small scrubber wheels with my Dremel. I have them in different grits. You are welcome to use some of the POR15 or if you sand it I can paint it.
