My car had 2 rear axle housing end shims per side, each was .004" thick for a total .008". One side was damaged and useless. So I bought some .008" shim stock and made some replacements. I also happened to have a metal hole punch in the bottom drawer of the toolbox. Anyway, the shim stock was a 6" x 100" roll, so I have almost the entire roll left. If anyone needs some shim stock to make their own shims just message me and I'll send you a piece off this roll. Pay it forward.

Rebuilt the master and cleaned and inspected the clutch cylinder since it seemed relatively new(er). I had a bunch of spare components in a box with the car, let me know if anyone wants anything before I toss 'em.

Stripped, sanded, and polished the trim "ring" around the dash. Were these painted with the same anti-glare paint as on the windshield frame and the vent windows? It took forever to get it off!

Dash surround 'ring'... I don't think it was actually 'painted'. I've realized that to achieve the anti-glare they used different methods on different parts. I 'think' the only things they actually painted, were the windshield and wing windows (you can actually scrape it off to reveal the chrome underneath). The door handle assemblies were definitely painted over bare metal (just stripped mine last night). It seems to me the the toggle bezels, glove box button, other dash stuff, the ashtray slider/assembly, and the 'ring' were actually somehow finished with either a textured and/or dull finish, not actually paint. But, all that being said, if you painted it, it would look just right!

Looking for advice. Big dilemma! I have ONE '67.5 correct windshield washer nozzle. All the pictures I have from the previous owner(s) of my car show only one nozzle on the car. I have looked high and low through every bag and box and a second nozzle is nowhere to be found. I have the second fitting for the nozzle so I know a second one was once there. The only correct one I see listed for sale online is $200. I see PAIRS of nozzles for later model and newer model Roadsters for $225-250. I doubt that my car will ever see rain, let alone have a dirty windshield that requires a squirt of washer fluid. What to do? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Does anyone have an orphan '67.5 nozzle for less than the price of a kidney? Let me know. Thanks.

It should be noted that I'm not building a concours quality car, I'm building a driver. I would however like to keep it as correct and original as possible. Within reason. I've made an effort to salvage and use every piece that was on the car when I bought it. Having said that, if there is anyone that is attempting to build a 100 point correct restoration '67.5 year car that needs this correct nozzle, I would be willing to trade this nozzle for a similar condition PAIR of the earlier style washer nozzles.

I found some nozzles.

I'm going to send you two pairs of nozzles, one pair is 67(?) (which is very similar to the half year), and the other is, I think '68.

I'll send them, and if you like either pair, you can send the other pair back with the single half year?

Anything else you need? Are you still looking for headlight scoops? I have a good pair that has been rechromed, not 100pt perfect, but very nice... might be a bit much for a driver? I can send those along, too, if you're interested.
