Reproduced Side Trims (low & high) from Vietnam

Here's my evaluation of the reproduced side trims (low and high) from Vietnam with photos.
For all photos: The trim on the RIGHT/Bottom is the reproduced ones. The LEFT/Top is the original. Comments attached to each picture.

My opinion is that these are great if you are not planning on spending big bucks for originals.

Now, I have to figure who will want to buy my originals as I have two set of each that are show quality, packed and ready to go!

See you at Solvang 2022! (April 30th, 2022)

Wholly Crap! I didn't know that they were making the early concave as well, Swing!

Thanks Ray, nice comparison. These certainly look close enough for all but the most OEM obsessed.

Well heck if I would have known that another company was in the process of making them I wouldn't have bother to get the 3D drawings done to have them made. Well at least I have the drawings if this company decides to stop making them someday. I won't waste the time and money to produce them now.

Would yours be made in the US or overseas?

If your quality (to include using Canadian or USA Stainless) is superior, I for one would pay a premium. My beef is if the premium is way more than double. When I needed a new chuck for my lathe, it was either a $150 from China or an almost $900 from Poland (and closer to $1500 for USA when the whole lathe was not worth that). 30-50% premium for most things I'm happy to pay--for some items that are critical (generally safety), 2-3X. All depends on your premium to them.

Overseas but with the same company that makes all of my stainless steel parts. The company makes nothing but stainless parts and have done so for more then 20 years. The parts they make for me speak to their quality.

Hold off a bit, if you don't mind, as I will try these pan-head screws welded side trim mounts on the car.
Not sure if the cone of the screw will interfere the depth of the trim butting up against the body.

I dont see how these will work and sit flush on the body without enlarging the hole
