That spare looks cool! What year rx7? I’ve given up on finding dori dori for a matching spare.
The aluminum RX7 spare comes in the 86-87 models (non-turbo). You will need a small spacer to use it as it does not clear the Roadster front hub without one.

Hope that helps.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

It seems like we have had non-stop rain here for the last few months, so I have not been able to get out much in Project Sting-Grey. However today the weather man showed no rain in the forecast, and despite temperatures in the mid-30s, I took the car down to Eugene to see the owners of "Project Unicorn" to catch up and talk roadsters. Before I left, I took a few shots in front of their amazing house.

Always good to get out in the car, but I certainly long for some warm summer days!

Happy Fairlady Friday!

That is one very cool house and the Roadster looks like it belongs there. Any details on that Mid Century Modern Influenced design??

Ya, seeing it yet again... it's just such a gorgeous car. Everything is exactly as it should be. Perhaps the nicest example of a custom/upgraded Roadster ever IMHO.

Wow. Thank you. We really worked hard to balance style and modifications with this one and I am very pleased with the way it turned out-- I hope the new owner will be as well!

Yes, that's going to be a tall order. I think the only thing that would top this car is one with a Skyline or GT-R motor and IRS!

Yes, it will be tough to top the Sting-Grey. I have several other builds to complete this spring (SR20 Miata project, and a 280Z refurb with Strawfab), and then we will build the next roadster-- a dark-blue 1966, with similar specs to the Sting-Grey-- S15 SR20DE/5-speed, RX-7 axle, 300ZX brakes, etc. I'll start a new build thread once we get going on that car...

You should be able to see her in person as she'll be living a bit north of Seattle :)
