Now let me say that i know cold, spent ten years in Wisconsin and lived through the second snowiest winter in Milwaukee history, but man the people and the state here are just not remotely ready for this kind of weather. Luckily we have had power the entire time, right by the police and fire departments so we are not affected by the rolling blackouts. Brother in law has had no power since late Sunday when we got down to 0 degrees. Friend in Houston have had issues as well. It also seems that the dumbest among us are getting in their big trucks of over compensation and driving like the stupid they are. Now the the real danger is coming; the roads have been okay because we’ve been so cold the snow hasn’t melted and refrozen but that is changing with the warm up coming. The roads will melt a little and then refreeze and they only throw sand on the roads here not salt🙄. So indoors we stay!!

I hope everyone else is safe.
Cheers

Stay home and warm, this weather will pass. The 11 inches of snow we got over the weekend has all but melted off, the roads are dry and clear and it is nearly 40° here today.

That's the way I drove my car back in high school, didn't have a top, so a heavy jacket, gloves, and a beanie. When it rained I did the best I could with a shower curtain over the top frame. That was 1979 or so. Thanks for the memories.

300' long an average 25% grade with 9" of snow, pure joy. I always get asked, "How do you get to the bottom?". You always get to the bottom, it is just a question of which direction you will be pointed. It could be worse, we still have power. Good wishes to those that are suffering.

Back in '69 when all that was showing of my '67.5 was the tip of the antenna there was rarely a camera around.

The house pictured above is our two bedroom guest house. If there is a carb guru that needs a getaway from the cold weather, free lodging for a week (or longer if you like) for help sorting, tuning and syncing carbs. I'll do all the work while you supervise. I would love to gain this skill but do not feel confident attempting it alone on the first go round. Car runs well as is, but has some occasional stumbeling problems that I believe is related to carb adjustments.Currently temps are mid 70's for highs. 8) :D
