I feel like everyone (including me) always go back to the same question... "How can I increase my power - hp/torque/etc"

Many turn to new engine, new carbs, upgrade this and that (which also work)... but here is the EASIEST and CHEAPEST way to increase power....

LOSE THE WEIGHT!

Weight reduction is extremely underrated.

I could go on and on but just remember this simple formula:

Every 100lbs = 10hp

That's it :). Trust me it works.

Speed shop stickers! 10RWHP minimum per product endorsement. Unlimited potential!

Weight reduction was central to the approach of Lotus. You don't need 500hp to push around a 1400lb car. Helps in the corners too!

Colin Chapman of Lotus fame said to get more power add lightness. He also said that if it didn’t break at the checkered flag you over built it! I don’t think his theory changed much when he built his street cars😱

Lightweight is the right weight. According to the Bob Sharp Comp prep manual, for every 15 lbs removed, you gain 1 hp on a 2L (17 lbs +1 hp for a 1600, 19lbs for a 1500.)

It helps with the handling, and with the braking as well.

Not all weight is created equal in a car. Rotating mass such as flywheel and tires and wheels are more effective if lost. Unsprung weight such as tires and wheels also are better to remove.
