Allow myself to introduce.... myself

Post by Bartalbee »

Greeting from the PNW.

New member here. Just brought home my dads '69 1600. It's been parked in a garage since 1999. I think it last ran in 1993, or at least that's when it was last registered. Currently the engine is out and I don't recall what the issue was. He still has the original R16 as well as a spare engine. Hopefully this winter I can dig into them and get one up and running.

Here's an old picture of the car. My dad bought it 1975 for $575. It was a bank repossession at the time. Anyone know what wheels these are?

Here's a picture as it sits now in my garage. I'll need to make some time here soon and pick up all the spare parts he has.

Just for fun here's a picture of my AE86 Corolla GT-S. Purchased this last November and had it back on the road after sitting for 13 years in a few months time.

My Roadster also came with a set of those wheels. I think they are Midland Metallics Supa Nova II. Actually made in England back when England used to make stuff in the 70's. My car had a nice rattle can flat black paint job and leopard print seat covers to go along with them.

Should add those wheels to the Wheel thread that Alvin started. It has pictures of all the Roadster wheels that owners are using.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.
