G'day all

Looking at diving in to the Roadster world after immigrating from Australia to Canada - during which I sold my 300zx TT.

There is a prospect 8 hours drive from me - advert as below:

Selling my 1968 Datsun Fairlady Z 1600 convertible. 1.6l 4 cylinder w/ 4 speed manual trans.

Car comes with spare rebuilt motor. Paired with another clutch and 4 SPD trans.. Aluminum wheels Spare bumpers Spare doors Spare axle Original hub caps Misc trim, lights, interior pieces, brake rotors and calipers

I contacted seller 3 months back asking for more info, decided time wasnt right. Seller contacted me yesterday advising he would let it go for $4k Canadian Pesos (was originally $6k). Equates to 2964 USD.

Current engine in car is reported to be seized.

Being new to Roadster's - fair deal or look elsewhere?

I am in the market for a project to work on with my kids...

Some not bad bones but, I have my doubts that the rebuilt engine is a runner tho. Not a 68 Engine from the looks of it.
May have lots of spare parts, but if they are used/worn out parts, they might be just shed fillers or boat anchors.

If I had at chance at it, my offer might be in the 2K area because its a non-runner going need lots of parts that are going add up $$ to get back on the road.

Cheers
