Rota 15x8 measurements please?

Post by gnoplos »

Does anyone have these wheels that they could possibly take some measurements for me? These wheels are for sale like 4 hours from me but if they would fit, I’d buy them in a heartbeat.

I need just shy of 14” diameter clearance at the inside of the hub to clear my calipers.

And I think 5” clearance from the inside hub mounting surface to the innermost part, but if they fit your roadster, this measurement should be fine.

Thanks in advance!!

I tried to post the link but it wouldn’t show. Here’s the pictures. The description didn’t say much more.

They will not "fit" unless you flare the fenders on your roadster

What Alvin said. Plus you would have to get the tire size and offset exactly right.

I will be flaring eventually.

I was hoping someone had these and could take those measurements or knew of somewhere that I could find more information. Rotas website has like 8 different wheels that look identical

Did you ask the seller ? are they 4x114.3? did you ask about the center bore ?
At first glance these look like mid-high offset RBs probably +35 which wouldn't work at all flares or not on a Roadster
in fact everything about the pictures makes me think this is an early Miata setup (4x100)

FYI Low-mid offsets RBs in 15x8 which could *potentially* work usually have a deeper and flat lip like in the picture below

I do know they’re 4x114.3. I asked the seller if he could measure them but he hasn’t been able to yet.

Does the center bore mean anything? My custom Moser rear hubs have almost nothing protruding. I called them and double checked and they said the center bore doesn’t need to be the same size as the hub center.

I wouldn't be worried much about the back especially since you have a shortened rear axle if I remember from your build thread
The concern is in the front for the hubs (but that can be machined down a bit ) and the width 8" wide is too much for the front unless you do flares or small tires

So it's good that you confirmed they are 4x114.3. These are Rota RKR wheels. NOT RB.

They made the 15x8 RKR in 0 and +10 offset.

That should be what I need to see if they fit thanks! And funny you mention him, I screenshotted this picture a while back because I think this is exactly what I want, but I forgot who posted it

Does anyone know how to get the specifications for Rota wheels? In Germany it isn't allowed to have aftermarket wheels (or anything else for that matter) without a written specification...

Hate to admit it....but I bought one front and one rear on Amazon just to test fit. Didn't work but let me know what I needed. I did buy the 4 I currently have from the same seller though and told him what was going on.

These fit and clear the front hub. I don't run the center caps because they look like butt.Stock front fenders(69) but rears are flared
