Clock Refurb.

After spending a couple of months trying to get to Ron at Z-Clocks, I sort of gave up, so I did a bit of looking on the interwebs, and found a thread, on Speedo's and clocks. On of the posters talked about a product called Liquid Bearings. On a flier, I ordered some off of Amazon for 25 bucks. disassembled the clock again, which had been cleaned previously, lubed every point, applied power, and low and behold, it looked promising, not fully operational, but the movement moved with the motor. The stuff apparently softens and removes (after a bit of time), petroleum based lubes. let it sit for 24 hours, reapplied power, and after helping the movement through a couple sticky points, This 51 year old clock is running like clockwork again. Not sure what is in this stuff is magic. Tried on a couple other pieces around the shop, and I am stunned. Hope this helps someone else. apparently good stuff for speedos and tachs as well. Literally a drop or two gets is done.
