^lol, that was a sketchy drive.
I raised the rear by the diff. VTOs came off, but the Zed wheels and 185/65/14 studded Hankooks would not go in.
Had to jackstand the frame and lower the diff.
Wheels were a little rough, but the beads were perfect when I removed the old tires. Blasted and painted.
Ive had the studded tires floating around for a few years.

Reinstalled the summer tires. Body got a generous "dry wash" with Meguiars Final Inspection.
Thanks for the tour Dan!

Rustled up some letters for the hood. Underside of the hood is not dented, so, Im hoping the filler isnt tooo thick.
Pins on the metal letters are NICE. Finish on the letters are NOT Ted approved. Should blend well within the overall patina theme .).)

Would love to see how you install the letters David. I'm sure there is some trade secret to making a hole without cracking that pretty paint

Always a risk. Why be safe? Lol.
I should remove the hood. There are "bondo worms" on the backside. Tiny tiny drill bit and dont push. Let the bit pull the material, (drilling from the backside).
Patience.
Knock the worms off with a razor sharp putty knife, look for deformation on the paint, drill. If no deformation exists, drill from the backside.
The Paint is very very hard. Likely old.
Ill take some pics if I dont #*+@ it up.

Removed and replaced the fuel filler grommet.
Removed and replaced the vent hose and added clamps.
Cleaned up the filler hose, clamps and filler tube.
Ive got this great looking gas cap with a very pitted door. On the fence about swapping the door out, because the bits c/t the door look brand new :smt101 :smt100 in this case maybe looks are better than function :smt102

For Sure! Do you have the emergency cable release set Up? If not, do it now!

I dont. But! I do have a VERY delicate robot like process that takes place when the boot is open and the car is fueled.
