Worth asking price and the trouble of building?

Post by damarble »

It looks like a fair amount of small parts are missing and there's a lot of rust to deal with.

Realistically you are probably looking at $20k to turn that into a good driver. Assuming you do the wrenching and major rust repairs yourself.

Really depends on your skill level and desire. Lots of rust in both, and many of the used parts may not be worth much or operate well in my opinion, could be cores. I would add the $2000 asking price to another $2000 and see if you can get a more solid car.

Thanks for confirming what my gut was saying. I'll wait for a nicer example.
