Wing Nut Remover/Installer Mod

As MANY of us (especially Lorna C. - G) have experienced, getting to those pesky wingnuts behind the gauges can be a PITA. (whether the dash is in OR out of the car)

This 'tip' involves cutting a groove in a bolt of suitable length that will allow the wingnut 'wings' to be captured in the groove.

Additionally, you have to use a drill bit, smaller than the diameter of the nut to drill a small hole so that the 'crown' of the nut will fit into it. #2

Very clever Peter.
Now, if you'd just invent an arm with 3 elpows and u limited wrist rotation I could get in there to reach the darn things.

interesting, I think a tube would be less work.....cut the slots and a hole for a cross shaft and your done.

Tube certainly MIGHT, if one had a tube with id of 1/2 inch lying around - this one didn't.

Plus one could use a socket on this - if one were so inclined, one was.
