Trancas Cars and Coffee, 1st Sunday of each month.

Post by mraitch »

WOW, WHAT a show!!

This is what SuperCar Sunday looked like before it moved from Chatsworth.

In fairness, I am more partial to pre-war and early post-war automobiles rather then modern supercars - cool as they certainly are to many people, and this fulfilled more than my expectations, only since I was expecting Malibu CnC, quality but small. This was quality and LARGE.

There was a BEAUTIFUL 4 1/4 Bentley bodied by Vanvooren in Paris. Being a Bentley afficianado, this was the holy grail for me.

If you like Porsche - this is a MUST for you. Classic Ferraris (Lusso, Dino). A variety of more modern Astons, including one RIDICULOUS Aston Martin painted with the British flag, more suitable for Michael Myers, than James Bond.

There were two Roadsters (Datseen - Jon T.) and another as yet unidentified.

Old Lancia, beautiful Packard and an early Rolls Royce 'Ghost'.

And Starbucks.

And to cap it all off, there is a wonderful choice of coming home - Decker, Mulholland, Stunt, Tuna Canyon. In this case.

BUT, and there is ALWAYS a 'but', It's supposed to start at 7:00. We got there about 6:45 and had a hard time finding a parking spot in the main area. Ideally you should get there about 6:30, otherwise, you might face quite a walk.

Just SO worth it.

Ya gotta do it once.

Was it super crowded again? The last two I went to were literally the previous two and they were chock full of cars. Lots of big money, but I rather enjoy the canyon runs after. If I wasnt already going to Willow Springs today, I probably wouldve joined.

That parking lot is crowded on a normal day.

The unidentifiable roadster would be mine. Parking was full by 6:30, I got there just after 6 to secure a spot.

oh yes - canyon runs before and after - way worth getting up early for once a month.
