I know alot of variables go into determining a fair price, but I am trying to determine what a fair price on a '67 low windshield engine swapped roadster is. The car was listed for $20k several weeks ago on craigslist. Any thoughts? Can't seem to find what swaps in past have gone for. Thought I would check with you guys.

Condition is more important than anything.
Cars with a SR20 swap done properly are almost always north of 15K these days.

Is this the one in Atlanta?

Yes. Drove it over weekend. Ran great. Cosmetically looked good. I do not mind overpaying a little for a setup that I want, but would not want to be foolish.

No one buying a roadster is a fool, just a wise man or woman who recognizes future value. 8)

The one in Atlanta was done by Kevin for the long time owner. Kevin does very good work and has done several SR20 conversions and even more restorations.
I would contact him for his input on the condition of the car. I would think its worth more on the east coast than out here in the land of 67.5 2000 being saved from the recycle yard.

I think it is almost impossible to do a good retauration and an sr20 swap for 20k. I think the car is worth whatever it is worth to you! It is always cheaper than doing it yourself.

Thanks for everyone's input. I offered $18k over weekend, but owner stuck on $20k. I walked, but thinking about paying the $20k.

As a swapper, I can testify that easily one can have over $20k in a project. Knowing that Kevin had done the swap is worth a lot of piece of mind, not to mention $$$. FWIW Pat

If this is the red 67.5 car, that price is very fair. A turn-key swap like that thru our shop is way more than 20k. Factor in what your time is worth and know that you can turn the key and drive it today makes it a very good value.

Thanks for you input as well, Michael. I just got done looking through your restoration of your wife's car. Awesome work!
