wheel fitment...

Post by rudesvx »

hi all...

I may have the op to purchase a set of rb wheels that are 16x7 +22. They already have tires installed (front: 205/50/16 and rear: 225/50/16). I was going planning to use a 10mm spacer to bring the offset tothe ideal 12mm. Would anyone know if this set up rub any fenders or frames for a 68? I'm also planning to purchase some lowering springs for the front down the road. Thanks in advance!

225 will be wide unless there is some significant work done to the rear fenders. But that is the exact set of wheels I used for more than a year, and they work well on a 68 with a 205/50-16 and a 10mm spacer.

I have 205/55-15 Yokohamas on +20 wheels and they rub high up the outside rear wheel wells on hard cornering. I am going back down to 195/50-15 after I burn off the sidewalls.

I agree 225/50/16 will rub in the back, even worse when lowered.
