Rota RB 15x8 with a +12mm offset

Post by empera »

i feel like i would be okay with fitting 15x7's but with my project i need the most rubber i can use. So i'm thinking about getting these 15x8 but im a little afraid in pulling the trigger...

another set i was looking at was a set of XXR 15x8's with a offset of +20mm but i'd be afraid that would hit the leave spring and such.

These

I'm able to roll the rear fenders if needed.

Any ideas? Input?

I have heard of people using 15x8 +0. IMHO, you will not get very much increase in the tire width for the amount increase in problems.

225 /50 or 45 are about as large a tire as I have seen fitted to a "stock" looking roadster and those fit on 7" rims......

With 8" rims, +12 you could find the best fit with spacers, I am pretty sure you are going to need big spacers with +20

I am pretty sure you will need to roll the lip with 8" rims, I have 205/50 on 7" +12 rims and they rub on the inside with a huge angle on the rear axle, driving one side over a curb or ?

I'm running the Rota 15x7 +10's, I experienced a slight rub on the inside rear left. My car builder banged that out when we did the comp. lowering spring set up. Wait!!! "Banged" isn't the best word to use... Let's say he "adjusted" it.

Might just go with the 15x7 +12mm and roll the rears.
