Garage Floor Epoxy Paint

Post by Dave_Car_Guy »

In response to "68DSU" in another thread….It has been almost a year living with my garage floor paint, and I can say the stuff works as advertised. It cleans up great, is impervious to all kinds of fluids, and it looks good. There are a number of great products out there, this one happens to be made by ArmorClad. It is made to be strong, easy to apply, and has thousands of color combos (pick your base, pick several chips colors, and you can also vary the size of the color chips). I chose a large flake design with brown base and chips in tan, black, and white. I didn't want it too dark, but also wanted enough color variation to hide any grime. It works great. The only downside is that a glossy floor will show dust in bright light conditions, so sweeping is a good thing! I tend to use a hose and broom to wash it out when I can.

The Armorclad website has a function that allows to to "mock-up" a color scheme, or they can send you a palette of color combo samples. http://www.armorcladepoxy.com/

I'm no longer allowed to park in the living room - which is why I made sure to install a TV in the garage for drive-in movie nights!

Au contraire. Webster's Dictionary defines :Sports Car: as "a low small usually 2-passenger automobile designed for quick response, easy maneuverability, and high-speed driving"

The Cayman has just 2 seats, the Vantage has just 2 seats, and the Corvette has just 2 seats. Add to the Datsun and that is 4 out of 7 cars (57%) that are 2-seaters. I might argue the Porsche 930 is still a sports car although by definition the back seats make it a GT. The Latigo is also a GT. Score is Sports cars:4, GTs: 2, Sedans: 1

And you can come babysit any time! There's room for you to park your Datsun if you drive out here... there is even a full bathroom and shower in the garage so you can stay for as long as you'd like. It's kind of like an escape pod in case my wife ever tires of me.

Sorry, those were all fakes anyway... here is my actual garage. I hope to get around to cleaning it this winter so I can take my baby out for a drive in the Spring. Then I can put down that epoxy paint.

Ain't buying it Dad. Bye the way Websters wrong----Sports car = 2 seats (3 if one is sideways and you look silly riding in it} and a cloth top. I might be wrong but you won't change my mind. :D Also when the papers go through I'll take the Vantage for weekdays and the 930 on the weekends. :D :D :D ----your new son Mike.

When we were shopping for a house, my wife accused me of only wanting a six car garage and a bathroom. No wonder we couldn't find it. Dave had it...I mean Dad had it.
