Yup it's me. We've met in person at the Dulles show, and emailed a few times.

I'm a little north of you, but willing to travel :)
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......

jamesw wrote:So what is a 67 2000 actually worth now? I'm not sure I agree w/ the valuation in the article. Here are my thoughts:

Frame off Rest: $35,000 - $50,000
Nice Driver: $30,000
Numbers matching driver but missing some rare bits (air filter, license trim, etc): $25,000

Agree, disagree? What do recent sales indicate?

Cheers

For what it is worth,
In the late 70's namely 77-79 the dealer I was at had a completely restored Roadster done by our body shop .It sat on the showroom floor often ,I heard it was priced at $10,000
whats $10,000 in 79 = today 40 -50 K
Datsun dealer tech 76 to 87
Mitsubishi tech 9 yrs
Volvo, Kia, Toyota too

Anything is only worth what someone will pay for it. I have had multiple 8-10K offers on my car in the last few months. The only thing that caught my attention was a trade that would have been worth 15-18K in parts alone (non Datusn) but the car a 63 continetal with bags and drop top needed lots of body work and no title.. bitchen though but not bitchen enough...
