Do a quick search for "bikini" and the topic "Soft top question" will come up... Alvin posted a pic of mine and another's which is helpful as mine uses a roll bar while the other a part of the soft top frame. I can post (and have) other pics. The modification I will have added eventually is to make the straps adjustable to take up stretch, and I'm considering a center "bar" that runs fore and aft in the center to help firm it up while driving. Not water proof of course but will keep most of it off you, and gives relief from the sun if needed. I love it. If we're out in colder weather or caught in some rain it's easy to stop and put it on.

Looks great! Does the top on the black car just use a fron bow & the roll bar as support?

Aaah. Got it. Looks a lot like a jeep bikini top, understood. The roll bar & bikini top combo really looks sharp.

Clever folks around here!

At 1:30am this past Tuesday, my '67 1600 backs out of my garage under its own power for the first time since May 2014.

Pete, isn’t it such a great feeling? I drove mine out this year that was parked in about 2003.

Congratulations Pete, it is indeed a heart warming event. I remember driving mine for the first time in 35 years sans windshield also!

Congratulations, your car certainly looks worthy of the trophy. A nice reward for all your hard work I’d say!

How did you get the trophy home? Looks about 1/2 the size of the car 😏

P.S. Well deserved!

New (used) windshield in blue '69. Old one had scratches, pitting and a nice goose egg sized hit from a past road trip.

Old:

better shot of the big hit:

And new (used) windshield installed this AM:

No sun glare from the pitting... it's much better to drive now!

I took my donor classic gas tank for SPL311-00054 into a shop to be cleaned, sealed, and primed. Looking forward to experiencing a working fuel gauge in a Fairlady for the first time! Both of my roadsters in the 70's didn't have a working gauge either.
