How do you like the Snowflakes on my 67

Post by BBF Roadster »

I got these from a 1981 280Z turbo, and put some 195/55/15 on them.
They just fit in the rear.
Looking for lug nuts that will fit them, 7/16-20 thread and larger shank.

20 lug nuts on eBay is $20. Work great.

I like the wheels a LOT. :)

Sorry Garm, but they take a special larger diameter lug nut.

Might be easier to change to 12 mm studs.

BTW, I do like the look. very classic old school.

There have been discussions on those lugnuts, if you search it will come up, don't know the current solution.

I have a set of the six spoke 280ZX wheels, and found lug nuts at the local O'Reilly store that fit properly. I'm assuming they use the same lug nuts.

Make sure your lug nut shank diameter is .730"
Most aftermarket lug nuts utilize a smaller diameter shank (.680"?).

They complement the car nicely as they appear to be bigger than they are. They're 15 but stand out well.

I have the '82 280ZX Turbo wheels. Recently found a piece of paper with '5302 bulge Nut' scribbled on it......I think that was what I ordered at the time. Problem is the chrome is all peeling of them now....

Back when the issue of the large shank lugs came to light, I suggested a bushing. Mike Harper had a bunch made up and sold a few. He may still have some, or if you have access to a lathe, they should be easy enough to make.

This lug nut fits perfectly on the snowflake wheels and come with attached washer.
Cost $2.49 each and $10 for shipping.
Thanks for all the help!

I have pics if anyone wants to see one, can't post here.
