It's back . . . in BMW M Estoril Blue

Post by sfdaugherty »

After two months in the body shop, my car was delivered yesterday. It does have a few more things to do on it but it's a start.

Here's a teaser photo; the rest of the photos are at: http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee4 ... ne42/SR20/

Thanks for all the compliments. It took me two years to decide on the color.

Chris: This is for my SR20 swap and won't be done by October for the Grand Canyon. I'm setting my goal for it's debut in Solvang in April and hope that I can be ready by then.

I am planning to show at the Grand Canyon meet in my 69 2000 (if I can work out the timing chain noise) or my 68 1600 (which runs perfectly but it not quite as pretty).
Would you mind telling how many $$$
Nissanman: It cost me $4500 out the door. That included all the bodywork and paint inside, outside, and underneath. It has a light undercoating with a basecoat -clearcoat over the undercoating. I wanted to do it myself but I finally realized I would never get it done because I have way too many projects.

I'm making a list of flaws this week so it goes back into the shop for some touchup.
