How do you remove the chrome ring that surrounds the speedometer gauge on a 67 roadster to get inside the speedometer without damaging it?

RE:Trim Ring Gauges

Very difficult to do-if not impossible. It is best to leave this up to someone that repairs gauges for a living. I do not recall any right now but do a search on the web and I am sure you will find something. Unfortunately. they were not made so that they can be disassembled easily. You would probably do more damage than good if you try it yourself.

Jon Frampton (on the Roadster list) was redoing early Roadster gauges at one time. You may want to try to check with him to see if he can help.
