Hello from Tucson and Banzai Datto Southwest

Post by Speedgato »

Hey everyone.

I have had numerous Datsun, mostly s30s but also a couple trucks. I started our local Datsun Heritage club, Banzai Datto Southwest. I've been looking for a new Datsun project and after talking with a friend of mine that has a 68 roadster just languishing at his shop, the roadster is it! I have big plans for it. I know it will be long process but I have already done this once with a '70 240 so I know it will take twice as long I figure and will cost at least three times more! LOL! I am sure I will asking numerous boneheaded questions of you guys along the way. Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Thanks guys!

Karl, I helped organize the Mt Lemmon run last fall. It was sure fun having you carve up the mountain with your roadster! I had the Satin Black 240z with carbon flares and a vented hood. Can't wait to get started on the new project. I will post pics as soon as I get some.

Here's a couple pics of my old 70 240z....gave it to my younger brother.

Welcome to the Roadster Family! LOVE the Z... my kind of Look! Besides the vintage driver feel of the Roadster, I think you will love the open air driving... there's simply nothing like a convertible, especially in the mountains.

Uh...this thread is 9 years old. Wonder if he ever got his roadster built?

Old enough to know better, too old to remember why!
