Hey, this is great news! Have you been able to track down any of the car's history? Not that many came with the solex/B cam set up, so it would be fun to see where she's been and who she's been with!

While that may be true, it seems like more have them now than not...

Hi Guys,

Just had a baby boy! Born last night at 6:30 - 8lb 7oz - mom and baby are doing fine.

I think this car came w/ the Solex stuff from the dealer. I'll dig up the title I got from Mike (Ca title from way back) and see if I can post some pedigree when I get time.

Cheers
James

Congrats James.

I noticed you didn't give us a name... We are expecting again as well and my wife looked at me funny when I suggested "Datsun".
Maybe I should just go all new-age and name him/her "2000".

Congrats, lots of babies on the way. Luckily, mine is grown up, 24. She better wait a while, if anyone calls me "Grandpa" before I'm 50, there will be trouble.

Looking good, again, congratulations! You can tell he's already dreaming of how he's gonna get Daddy's Datsun!

Thanks everyone. He's doing great and eats like a champ.

I got some photos yesterday of the frame from the powdercoater's shop:

Frame after cleaning.

Frame after most of dis-assembly.

I also took an hr to myself yesterday and cleaned up my engine in preparation to taking it in to the machine shop.

Cheers
