They will not fit without drilling 4 x 7/16" holes at 4 x 114.3 and cutting the hub hole to 76 mm.

I just said they were interesting, also I think "plus" size rotors are available for the mini.

Okay guys....only about 3 months late, but here's the build up of the brake setup on shifty's car. Not so much a build as a tweak to an existing method. I'm much more familiar with posting threads on Ratsun, so that's where I put it since it's quick and easy for me. Here's the page.

looking good, so no machining on the hub then? how much for a set of bearing spacers? i can make the caliper spacer myself. (a paper tracing of yours would be nice though)

so my list of parts as i see it will be
volvo calipers.... girling vented.... what year? anybody have a direct link? cross drilled for simplicity...link to that writeup?
altima rotors ..... what year
bearing spacers

make a spacer for the caliper...
possibly wheel spacers for the panasports.
cut the hubs for the wheels center...

Leigh: Nice wheels!!! I like those gray/black w/ polished lip wheels - wish mine would fit.

It seems like a lot of ppl are running wheels with spacers now - does that mean ppl are getting wheels w/ an offset higher than +15?

I have yet to get the parts quoted. If there's minimal interest, then I'll do a few sets manually myself. If there's more interest, then I'll see about having them cnc'd. I'm a bit hesitant to have them cnc'd without pre-orders. I've done that with the truck kits, then I end up with a chunk of my money tied up in parts sitting on a shelf because of guys promising to buy and then disappearing when it comes time to pony up. I know....whaaaa. LOL My guess at this point is $100-110 for the 2 bearing spacers, 2 caliper spacers, 2 spindle nuts. I don't remember off hand if we had to put new bolts in. I'm thinking the kit will need to have them, but since shifty's came in with Volvo calipers already, we didn't use them on his. The rotor machining will be about $30-40 for the set. I don't have prices on the rotors, but I'm expecting to have to get those myself. It doesn't seem worth it to have guys buy new calipers and ship them to me just for me to ship them back. Maybe I'll do a run of 4-5 kits and see how well they sell. That would also give me a much better idea on how much time and effort they'll take. I'm not a professional machine shop....just a hobbiest. Sorry....I just don't have the experience to rattle off quotes off the top of my head. It seems every time I do that, I come up short. Anyway...... I'd like to see $50 deposits for 3-4 orders before I move these to the top of the list.

Yep...no machining to the hubs....in fact, if you're careful taking the original bearing spacer off, this should be 100% reversible.

I just got off the phone with shifty....he gave me the years on the calipers and rotors again, so I did a bit of computer magic and I'll post up the info. The prices listed are not the best prices, the point was to show the range of years and models for the parts. He also suggested that I offer just the bearing spacers by themselves since some guys will want to find or fab the rest of it themselves. It's probably going to be about $60 for me to machine the spacers manually. If I do a bunch at one time, I can probably get it down to $50. Any cnc machinist reading this that want to contact me via pm about these? I'll round up the Dorman number for the nut and the bolt sizes. If I sell the spacers on their own, I'll include a CAD print for the caliper spacers like the one I used. I'm guessing the caliper spacers will be $15-20(pair) on their own, so it's about 50-50 as to whether or not it's worth making them yourself.

Interesting that the pic links postes up so small. I guess this forum has forced thumbnails or something? I also put them in the Ratsun thread....they come up full size there.

Thought I'd share this. I've bought brake parts from these guys before, and they have an awesome selection of pad and rotor types, for the picky ones among us.

They had stuff for my 280ZX, as well, and the prices were pretty cheap on the cross drilled and slotted.

Also, wouldn't this have been a good alternative for the dual brake line problem?

They're $170/pr.....about $110 more than over the counter stock rotors, but, still cheaper than a pair of stock roadster rotors.

Still not sure why you think its better to space the bearings and hub instead of cutting the hub and using a wheel spacer if necessary.

Both methods are about the same cost and I would think are about equal.
