Welcome to all new folks (Sticky)

Post by S Allen »

First off, welcome to our little slice of the cyber world. We are glad you found us.

Please post plenty of pictures of your pride and joy. We like pictures.

If you get stuck just ask for help. We are a pretty friendly group here and someone will help you out.

We have a registry where you can add your ride or rides, located at http://www.311s.org/registry.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Please add your car or cars there with pictures as well. Registering is free for the basic listing, if you want a fancier listing, have more than one car and would like their pages linked, or would simply like to help support the club and the folks that maintain it, a one time $15 donation will allow us to do so. New entries can be seen at: http://www.311s.org/registry/newestentries.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Send us an e-mail if you would like one of the more elaborate registry pages.

If you have a picture you want added as an avatar and cannot figure out how to do it-send me the picture in an email to 67datroad@311s.org and I will get it posted for you.

There are no dumb questions here and someone will usually answer you or point you to the answer in a short period of time.

We also have a tech wiki section that has tons of information in it regarding all things roadster related, the direct link is http://www.311s.org/pmwiki-311/pmwiki.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you would like to add content to the wiki send one of the moderators an email and we will make it happen.

Also as a shameless plug, Scott Scheeler's "The Datsun Roadster" collection of books is a must have.
More information available on Scott's website at http://thedatsunroadsterbook.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Tell him you saw it here!

You can easily find other roadster owners in your area here as well. Please put your location in your profile so we know where you are.

Again, welcome and enjoy.

Steve,

If I have photo files that are too large to post, can you tell me how to change that? I've never had to do that before.

Thanks,

David

David,

There are plenty of free photo scaling programs out there. 640 x 480 is the optimum size for posting on the web. Here is an online one that is free and seems pretty easy to use.

http://www.picresize.com/

Here is another one:

I use GIMP which is open source software but there is a learning curve on how to use it. Just use one of the two above which should be easy.
