looks good.man you stripped yours clean. I'm anxious to get mine running(never driven a roadster). just didn't want to take the time to gut the whole engine bay. maybe a frame off next year.

Since it's a white car painted red you can well imagine that EVERYTHING had red on it. After I removed the brake lines and cleaned then up I found that they had a lot of the original plated finish left on them.

Gutting the engine bay set me back weeks if not months on getting it done. Blaster did not want to keep working. On the other hand I found a couple of things needing repair.

I can commiserate with both of you! I did the same this summer. And also had the dreaded while you're there disease. Ended up re-piping all the brakes and clutch, replacing all the rubber grommets, and re-wrapping the electrical system! Then I painted a lot of the ancillary bits black. Then I ........... someday I will finish!

Unfortunately, the engine bay looks better than the exterior now! All it does is perpetuate the "while I'm there" syndrome, as I am starting to fret over the exterior paint!

Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh :-)

I finished cleaning my engine bay up too. The dreaded "while I am at it" symdrome bit me too. I had a leaky carb that needed new gaskets and it led to this. I hope to have it on the road by New years.

As the saying goes, "You sure do clean up nice".

Now that the engine bay will be done I'll have to finish my wire harnesses. Got my 50 amp 'one wire' Nissan alternator the other day. Evil Bay does it again. Saved big bucks on a Bosch rebuilt.

My carb leak led to me taking off the head to have it checked out. I found out is was warped a bit, then I decided to check out the rest of the engine. Engine came out and rest is history. "While I am at it, I wanted to clean up the engine bay but I why only do it hafl way so I ended up taking the body off the frame and had it powercoated. Ten years in the making...

The positive thing now is there really isnt much more to pull apart so I need to start putting it back together.
