Is the problem with the splines? If so, a good machine shop should be able to open the bore up a bit and run a spline broach through it to fix the issue. That assumes that the u-joint can be disassembled like on a driveshaft.

Borgeson has one that's just a few thousandths off the metric spline specs, too bad.

This is going to be a real problem one day as there are only so many late boxes around, and I don't see them too often on EBAY.
Wish someone would get them made, or figure out a rehab fix.
