Wow I should probably slow down and use preview prior to submitting.what I was trying to get out of my thoughts was, body and chassis are separated by the engine hoist that I will use to put body back atop the chassis once I get the motor back in. Time sure does fly

No worries, just having fun - Best of luck with the Restoration! Time is definitely flying ... Monday Nov 4th will be the first anniversary since I bought my car.

Curtis do you recall the size you ordered? I have a 1967, and I don't think I have an original to measure.

Thank you, I forgot about Curtis's link. I did use it at some point as a saved the item on eBay for a later date but when I clicked the link it brought up default measurements.

Did this during the summer on the 67.5

Came to me with a set of Rocket Industries Minilite knockoff wheels:

Not bad but not great. Wanted a 3 piece look with a little color. Was looking at some hot RS Watanabe, but at $3K+ for a set, I went the budget route.

Cleaned wheels and polished the outer rims

Mask rims

Several coats of an acid etching primer
20240603_200352.jpg
Duplicolor gold wheel enamel followed with clear coating the whole wheel

Before, not bad:

After, definitely gives the wheel some depth

Those wheels look like a spitting image of the EMPI 8 spokes which were made specifically for the Datsun’s. I’ve never seen or heard of the Rocket brand. Do you have any info on them? Size?

Click on the first pic, size stamp is there: 15 X 5.5... not sure of the offset as I couldn't find a stamp.

In my research on them, Rocket Industries is an Australian manufacturer still going today.

Those wheels are an EMPI knockoff they did years ago... VW people used them a lot.

Came with the car when I bought it at auction in 2017, car was originally from Tennessee and ended up for sale up here in Canada!
