Well, if I only got 17 years out of a battery I wouldn’t replace it with another just like it either
That’s phenomenal battery life! Do you keep it on a tender or disconnect it when not in use?

Unfortunately the Optima of today is NOTHING like the optima of pre 2009..
After Johnson Controls bought them and moved the production to a new plant in another country, the quality cratered..
You will like the Braille Alvin.

Hey Alvin,
I'm sure it's in a thread somewhere, but which hardtop is your car sporting?

Turbo Ted might approve, but he would definitely not approve of the orientation of your fuel cap!

New Bilstein shocks up front back in December 2020.
I wanted to put some miles on these and have them installed on Sora before giving a my impressions. Short version: money well spent
I replaced the front KYB Gas-adjust shocks with Bistein shocks from JT. Fronts only, because I have a coil-over (QA1) 4-link rear:
Fronts installed
excuse the dirt:
I've put about 3600 miles on the new Bisteins. At first I couldn't believe the change in front end control. I had to re-train myself a bit. Even the steering response felt different. If you are running high-rate front springs I highly recommend the Bilsteins. Another perk is the custom valving.

One for throwback Thursday.
Today marks Z Car Garage's 18th Anniversary. It was open for business on April 7, 2004.
Here is a photo me and my roadster at the shop, in 2004:
