I was going to do the dry ice but too much of a PITA
what I did instead is get a few cans of electronic component freezer (flash freezes to -52) , I first heated the recalcitrant part with the heat gun to soften them and then blasted with the freezer , the objective was to crystalize the rubber to make it break easier , not sure if the chemistry worked but it was easier to remove afterwards

alternating the vibrating tool with different attachments and the wood chisel was the ticket , to note on the chisel a used one that not too sharp works better that a new one

For the floors, those holes are so small, I'd just POR them and seal them with tape like Nissan did (or epoxy would be fine). Unless you want to spend a small fortune on welding, dressing and dollying those little insignificant holes. An "average joe" weld job will just make the floors much worse for virtually no gain. I like Aluminum backed refrigeration tape and a layer of duct tape(Like Nissan did) to cover any extra holes.

I actually prefer to leave the drain holes open so if you get caught in a downpour, the water will just run out rather than forming a swimming pool.

On the console, Yeah another sin of the PO. Some stereo idiot bastardization, or the PO was just that talented. At least he didn't cut 6x9 or sub woofer holes in the trunk bulkhead-that is the most moronic and there is no fixing that..

For that black radio/console trim, you will need 67.5- it's different from 66-67.

No better time than now to fix that sticky e-brake knob. The plastic thumb knob unscrews (CCW) from the inner rod it attaches to.

Yeah ill just do the epoxy , floors will be done with POR-15 and I'm putting a layer of Dynamat afterwards

I already have a 67.5 console trim but used it in Mrs Blue that why any would do I can just swap them

that should be good for another decade or so if kept inside.

Dash and floors done very happy with the results ,

In order to maintain the original aspect of the dash I did not sand it but only thoroughly cleaned with a degreaser and SEM paint prep I then used several light coats of SEM Landau black flexible coating , I think it came out real nice and will look great when the cover and gauges are back on



For the floors I did 2 coats of POR15 semi-gloss , I know some folks have mentioned that its not UV stable but it will be covered by soundproofing , carpet and vinyl so not really worried about that

Most of the first step of soundproofing is done , I still need to do the doors and a few place under the dash frame to quiet down the rattles
It should be out to the paint shop next week

On it's way to the paint shop should be back in 5-6 weeks with a brand ne skin

It's almost worth wearing a full face helmet and body armor to have a roadster with no windshield. That look is just too cool.

Has anyone ever put a Brookland’s windscreen on a street roadster. I think it would be a cool look for a car that wasn’t ever going out in the rain.

I've hinted at it but no I don think I ever posted
well lets just say Mr Green first name is Carmine now

But there will be something to remember the green (just not sure what yet )

Well what started up as just cleaning up the paint and replacing the carpets and seat covers has evolved into a complete interior overhaul and full repaint . I can now say I completely understand all of you guys that went trough the same things.

So now that the car is off to paint this will give me time to tacle the dozen other things that needs done

That's many years of crud



Headlight bezels and park lamps are getting redone



seats had been redone at some point with later style covers and no rubber bands
I've started on those also




Anybody know where I can find these rubber stops ?
