Re: 1964 SP310 L16 EFI Turbo
It is really beautiful!
That paint is mile-deep, and I like the choice of wheels as well.
The suspension bits look good enough to eat off of!
Thanks for the pics, keep them coming!!

Very nice and clean. I can't wait to see the finished product. Nice use of the BRE type stripping. I love the color.

Re: 1964 SP310 L16 EFI Turbo
Thanks guys, yeah I'm pretty happy with it . just can't wait to drive it. I'm going to be so bored once it is all finished.
Debating whether to put in a 20B triple rotor and big single turbo after the summer as I won't be driving it.
Not even finished yet and already thinking of what to do to it next once it's finished.

Thanks Alvin, I'm pretty happy with it. There is a few minor things which can't be seen in pics but for the amount of work he done for me v's the cost I'm surely not complaining.Alvin wrote:man i wish my paint looked like that!

I am after some opinions on what rear lights to run, I have a few ideas but none of them for certain.
A) Original B) Using the front parkers as the rear lights using red and amber LED globes C) After market LED lights that sit flush with the body.

Re: 1964 SP310 L16 EFI Turbo
I'm partial to the original tailights as well.
As far as running the Alternator under the dash, well all I can say is THAT is different! Never heard that request before. My thoughts would be - is there enough room?
Then, I would be hesitant to run anything auxiliary off of the engine oil, just because if anything goes wrong, the engine goes up in smoke, that's a pretty expensive gamble.
Also, another thought, wouldn't this also be quite loud inside the car?
Regardless, I'm fascinated to see what you end up with, please keep posting your progress!

Original tail lights for sure! If you wanted a different look you could have the normal red lenses reproduced as clear lenses and use LEDs.

Thanks Richard, I am leaning towards original, unfortunately red turn signals are not allowed in Australia.richard wrote:Original (red, red also possible).

Room shouldn't be a problem, I have read about a show car here in Oz a few years back that did this exact set up and ran it using the auto trans fluid pressure, exactly how I don't know. You might be able to hear it but I'm not too worried about that, it is solely an open top car and with the sound of the engine I'm hoping it won't be too loud.
