First work-travel, followed by rain, then Christmas, now the flu and soon a job change/upgrade... Im being conspired against on this project :-)

Alvin, I can't believe how cold it has been this last week. When we get back to normal Ill have a few of the locals over for some BBQ and beers.

Happy New Years everyone!!

If you mean the SR20 earlier in the thread, it's the S15 version of the SR20DE (non-turbo) rated at 165hp.

I am about to order a SR20 from ebay. Did you take any steps to verify the condition? I guess there isn't much you could do except look at the ebay rating?

Later!

Been a while since I posted. The new job had killed my evenings and weekends there for a while. I've been able to jump back into the car in the last couple of months.

Here are a few pics. Ill have to find some of the progress pics on the frame for you all. Im just about to send it out for its new coating here.

Ive also torn apart all of the front suspension and have about 90% of it blasted and powder coated.

The stuff starts out looking like this

Then off to the blasting cabinet where I ended up with a couple of piles of this

and then I clean them with some simple green and go to the powder room

Hey Alvin,

I hope to have the chassis back together within the month. Still need to order the full comp spring set from datsunparts and tear down the rear end for cleaning, powder and any repairs that may be needed.

My new bolts were just sent from Champion using the invoices provided by PEBBLES I believe (Jason Norton at Champion was very helpful).

Michael S., kindly replaced my rotor hats that were for 30mm calipers with some that will fit my 26mm so Ill be rebuilding the 300zx calipers in the next week or so. I also received a brand new set of rotors from Coleman Tech.

It would be great to have you guys over to see the progress. Should plan on smoking up some ribs or pork shoulder one of these days.

Take care,
-Allan
