The box is off being rebuilt. Just paid for a set of lightened custom rods for the u20. Looking to get Lou mondello to build the motor. Acquiring some more goodies for the build. Picked up a pair of s5 solexs and maybe some some custom headers. Hoping for 175hp. :D

Nope. Just removing dints from stainless and polishing trim. Hours of labourisously boring work. I did buy some S5 44 Mikunis which are off being rebuilt.

175 would be silly fun. Mine's not tuned yet, and doesn't have the cam in it, but I have a huge smile on my face just breaking it in. :)

It’s been a while since the last update. I had ordered a set of custom lightened rods for the U20. The rod builder wouldn't commit to build them till Lou ordered 12 sets. Finally enough orders were placed with Lou and the rods are now being built.

In the meantime I have been doing jobs to prep the motor for the trip to Melbourne by building a box to truck it the 1000kms.

My next jobs are to prep the engine bay for spraying. Brake fluid has spilt on a section of inner guard, so I have stripped and primed it ready for painting. When your under the car you notice missing bits. I managed to find a restored air deflector for under the radiator.
